USD 417 teacher Tracie Schroeder has been selected as the Kansas Society of Professional Engineers Outstanding Teacher Award winner for high school teachers in Kansas.
Schroeder teaches physics at Council Grove Junior-Senior High School and also coaches robotics and eSports.
The statewide recognition honors teachers who demonstrate a commitment to STEM education and help inspire students through excellence in the classroom and related programs.
The award recognizes Schroeder’s work with students in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, as well as her leadership in programs that give students opportunities to explore problem-solving, innovation and technology-based competition.
