The Wabaunsee County Museum has received $1,000 in grant funding from Freedom’s Frontier National Heritage Area. The award will help the purchased brochure display racks.
The Wabaunsee County Museum is committed to providing visitors with easy access to information about attractions and destinations throughout Kansas. The new display racks create an organized and attractive space for brochures, maps, and travel guides, helping local residents as well as regional, national, and international visitors discover the many experiences Kansas has to offer.
The expanded visitor information area features materials promoting local attractions, regional destinations, state tourism opportunities, and heritage sites across the region, including the Freedom’s Frontier National Heritage Area.
“We are grateful to receive this funding, which has allowed us to enhance our Visitor Information Center,” said Director Marci Spaw “These new display racks not only improve the appearance and organization of our visitor information area, but they also help us better serve travelers by connecting them with the rich history, heritage, and attractions found throughout our region and across the state.”
The improved visitor information area ensures that local communities, regional attractions, and partners receive greater visibility while making it easier for visitors to plan memorable experiences during their stay.
Freedom’s Frontier National Heritage Area (FFNHA) is a federally funded nonprofit organization and affiliate of the National Park Service dedicated to building awareness of the struggle for freedom along the Missouri-Kansas border.
