Buttrey named as the Spring All-Flint Hills Male Athlete of Year

The Manhattan Mercury has named Council Grove junior Reid Buttrey as the Spring All-Flint Hills Male Athlete of the Year.

The weekly newspaper reported that Buttrey helped lead the Braves to the 3A state baseball tournament for the first time since 2016. In the article, head coach Matt Wilkens described Buttrey as “Calm, cool, and collected.”
