Chiefs re-sign former star CB L’Jarius Sneed

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Less than a week after he visited Kansas City for a free agent visit, former Chiefs cornerback L’Jarius Sneed is back in red and gold.

Sneed and the Chiefs agreed to a one-year deal worth up to $5 million, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Sneed spent the past two seasons with the Tennessee Titans after the Chiefs traded him in March 2024. The trade sent Sneed to Tennessee and resulted in Kansas City receiving a 2025 third-round pick and 2024 seventh-round pick swap.

Injuries have severely limited the former Chiefs star who won back-toback Super Bowls with Kansas City in 2022 and 2023. Sneed played in just five games in 2024 and seven games in 2025 for the Titans as he dealt with knee and quad injuries.

Tennessee released Sneed in March. Sneed rejoins the Chiefs as they have retooled the defensive backs room. This offseason, Kansas City traded Trent McDuffie to the Rams and allowed Jaylen Watson, Bryan Cook and Joshua Williams to walk in free agency.
