Bound & Determined, one of two live music acts scheduled for the free Community Night celebration during Washunga Days, will perform Friday, June 19, on North Neosho Street, just north of Main Street in Council Grove. The evening’s activities will begin at 6 p.m.
Based in the Midwest, Bound & Determined is a high-energy variety band known for blending rock, country, pop, blues and funk into crowd-pleasing performances. Since forming in 2018, the band has built a reputation for versatility, strong musicianship and an energetic stage presence suited for festivals, corporate events, weddings and live music venues.
The band is fronted by vocalist Krystal Lynn Anderson and anchored by founder Dan Smith on rhythm guitar and vocals. Lead guitarist William Trigg, bassist Dave Lucas and drummer Jared Barnes complete the lineup, bringing a polished sound and driving rhythm section to the stage.
Bound & Determined’s setlist spans decades of hits and multiple genres, allowing the band to connect with audiences of all ages. The group has earned several regional honors, including Kansas City Magazine’s Best of KC Tribute/Cover Band of the Year in 2023 and 2025, as well as Missouri’s Best 2026 Hottest Band Winner.
The free Community Night celebration will offer an opportunity for residents and visitors to enjoy live music and kick off the Washunga Days weekend in downtown Council Grove.
