A familiar name in Council Grove is preparing for a new chapter. After more than 30 years of guiding customers through life’s biggest decisions, Dee Gieswein has announced her retirement from Gieswein Insurance Agency.
Stepping into the role is Anna Romme, who will become the new face of the agency. She will be joined by Kim Metcalfe, a longtime staff member whose presence has been a steady comfort to clients over the years. Together, they will lead the agency as it transitions to Tallgrass Insurance Group LLC on August 1.
To honor Gieswein’s decades of service, the agency is hosting a “Passing the Keys Party” on July 10, 2026, from 5–7 p.m. at 623 E. Main St. The come-and-go celebration invites the community to share memories, express appreciation, and welcome the next generation of leadership.
Dee, Anna, and Kim hope to see many familiar faces as they mark this meaningful moment.
