A new chapter announced for The Dealership Building

The Dealership Building, located at 318 W. Main St. in Council Grove, is entering a new chapter after five years under the care of the McDonald family.

The McDonald family announced that Shannon Kimball will be taking over management of the historic building, which has been transformed in recent years into an event venue for the community and visitors to enjoy.

In making the announcement, the family thanked Council Grove and those who have supported the small business over the past five years. They noted that the community welcomed them, watched as the building was restored and repurposed, and supported the many events held there.

The family said they believe the venue still has more potential than their busy schedule has allowed them to pursue. Kimball’s background in the culinary industry is expected to help expand the venue’s offerings and bring new experiences to customers.

According to the announcement, Kimball and his team plan to introduce new experiences while continuing many of the events and services customers have come to enjoy at The Dealership.

Those who already have parties or events scheduled at The Dealership Building do not need to make changes. The announcement stated that there will be no change to the current schedule.
