Charles Denison and Danny Peterson named to Dean’s Honor Roll at Washburn University…Tyson Buchman, winning pitcher, and J.B. Pritchard, relief pitcher, allow White City only one hit as CG Golds gain 17-8 win in season opener…Dana Bieling, Scott Williams, Lanny Miller and Jon Johnson have hits for Council Grove in loss to Augusta.

2016
Farmers & Drovers Bank, Council Grove, and Alta Vista State Bank announce the signing of a definitive agreement to merge; through this agreement, Farmers & Drovers Bank will acquire all the assets of the Alta Vista bank…Card shower planned for Joe and Jean Cronin, who will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary on June 16. Bud seconded, motion carried 4-0 with Kendra abstained.
Theatre report: the 125th Anniversary party was a success. The Black-Tie Affair will be October 24, 2026. The group will tend bar at River Suite. They have been accepted for Match Day. The group is still working to create a purchase agreement. A set of blueprints was presented at the anniversary party. They are not final and they will be asking for changes to the plan.
Lisa moved to approve of the Common Consumption Area Permit application. Matt should deliver barricades again this year. Kendra seconded, motion carried 5-0.
Kendra moved to approve Resolution No. 05-12-20263 Dangerous Structure. Antonio seconded, motion carried 5-0.
