Senior Center News ~ July 3 through July 10, 2026
Friday, July 3rd the Senior Center is CLOSED. We wish everyone a safe and happy 4th of July! Monday, July 6th is Intl. Kissing Day. We’ll celebrate with candy kisses. We will also hand out a 4th of July word scramble and have music by Kathleen Lane and Nancy Brock before and after lunch. Thanks ladies! Tuesday, July 7th is World Chocolate Day. We love chocolate around here! We’ll have Rock and Roll music playing before lunch to celebrate Natl. Rock and Roll Day and we’d like for everyone to wear Hawaiian clothes to celebrate Hawaii Annex Day. Taking pictures of course. The Task Force will hold their July meeting at 1 in the lounge. Everyone is invited! Wednesday, July 8th is Coca Cola Day. Do you prefer Diet or Regular? We’ll test your knowledge by passing out a US State Name game and we welcome in the Wednesday Afternoon Bridge Club after lunch. Thursday, July 9th is Natl. Dimples Day and Natl. Sugar Cookie Day. It’s also our bi-weekly popcorn day. We’ll have cookies and popcorn for everyone that eats in. We’ll also be taking pictures of everyone with dimples! Linda Koch will play her Harp for us during and after lunch, so make your reservations early. Thanks Linda. Friday, July 10th is Teddy Bear Day. Bring in yours and we’ll take your picture! We’ll hand out an In the Garden cross word puzzle in the morning. Jene Burenheide will be taking blood pressures from 11 a.m. until noon and after lunch is BINGO! Remember…your ticket to play is to eat lunch with us. So, get your name in the pot and come have some fun.
To make your reservations for dine in, carryout, or delivery, please call620-273-8511 any time BEFORE 9:30 a.m., or better yet, get on our regular meal list. Then you will only have to let us know if you are NOT going to eat.
