Richard Ivan Grimmett, age 76, passed away on June 12, 2026 in Goddard, KS. He was born June 7, 1950 in Council Grove, KS to Olen and Esther (Collyer) Grimmett.

Gerald Earl Rankin, born January 7, 1949, went to be with Jesus on July 6, 2026. Gerald was born in Detroit, Michigan, to Gerald Paul Rankin and Gloria Ann Rupp., the eldest of five children.

It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Rose Marie Shrout, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many. Rose peacefully departed this life on July 1, 2026. Born on September 13, 1936, in Independence Community, Doniphan County, Kansas, Rose was the cherished daughter of Carl Lutz Sr, and Marie Deichen Lutz, and the youngest of six children all of whom preceded her in death.

Andrea Joan Newcomer, 62, of Pittsburg, died July 1, 2026 at Pittsburg Health and Rehabilitation in Pittsburg. She was born February 21, 1964 in El Dorado, the daughter of Carl Graham and Sally Mack Newcomer.

Roger K. Swenson, born on August 7, 1931, in Junction City, Kansas, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026, in Chapman, Kansas. His 94 years were marked by dedication to family, commitment to community, and an enduring curiosity for the world around him.

Linda Mae Schroer, 84, died June 16, 2026, at Morris County Hospital, Council Grove. She was born March 14, 1942, at the Stubenhofer Maternity Ward in Strong City.

Jerry Joe Shubert, born in Herington, Kansas on June 21st, 1948, son of Marion and Margaret Shubert, passed away on June 9, 2026. Jerry was the devoted husband of Sarajane Blythe Shubert whom he married on December 29, 2007.

Frank Meyer, formerly of Herington and a resident of Salina since June 2025, passed away on June 13, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on January 30, 1939, and raised on the family farm south of Latimer, Kansas, Frank was the son of A.W.

November 4, 1950-May 8, 2026 Michael Eugene Warneke of Emporia, Kans. went to be with the Lord on May 8, 2026, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kans. He was surrounded by loved ones who filled his final moments with prayers and singing.

Evelyn Belen Landez, 76, of Council Grove, Kansas, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2026, at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, surrounded by family. Evelyn was born December 23, 1949, in Iloilo City, Philippines, to Antonio Bansagan and Lucia Abelarde.
