An RV

An RV, owned by Bill Rice, caught fire Monday, as it was parked at a home on South 4th, in Council Grove. Council Grove Fire Department Assistant Fire Chief and Public Information Officer Steve Crichton said the RV was being charged and readied for a weekend of camping and that initially the source of the fire appears to be electrical in nature. The RV is a total loss. An adjacent house, which is owned by Zachary Owen, is being remodeled and is vacant. It sustained significant damage from the heat of the fire. Owen happened to arrive during the fire to mow his yard and saw the damage to his house. (Photos: Kelley Judd)
