The 2026 Washunga Days Car Show brought a variety of classic cars, trucks, motorcycles and specialty entries to Council Grove during the annual community celebration. Co-coordinators Morton and Sherrie Griggs said the show had 27 entries this year.

MCH Hospital & Clinics is warning patients and community members to use caution after receiving reports of scam phone calls in the area that may appear to be associated with MCH. Hospital officials said MCH does not use automated phone calls to request personal information.

The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive Wednesday, July 1, at Chase County High School in Cottonwood Falls. The drive will be held from noon to 6 p.m.
